In the ‘Fire Element Therory’, the spleen is located at the centre; when the spleen is sick, the entire body is fundamentally sick. These days it is not rare for the spleen to be dis-eased. We eat too much sweet!
In June, as many as a dozen species may burst their buds on a single day. No man can heed all of these anniversaries; no man ignore all of them.
JUNE 21-SEPTEMBER 20
Caring for your heart, small intestine, blood vessels & the Fire Element
During the Summer season there is a celebratory, expressive, outward brightness/lightness that is felt, a time that calls us to awaken early reaching to the sun so we can flourish like the gardens. Gardens are exuding abundance, palates preferring watery foods (fresh ripe fruits/leafy green salads) to balance excess of summer. When we are in this harmonic flow our internal summer atmosphere is enlivened and we tend to feel more surges of creativity & pure expression. A time for: work, play, travel, be joyful, celebration!
During the Summer Solstice, occurring June 21, the sun rises earliest, sets the latest, allowing longest day and shortest night of the year.
